Given the impressions of being stuck in the grounds of tentativeness and uncertainty when expressing their views about the administerial approach of Mr Boris Johnson in the UK. The legacy of the British author, politician and a former journalist, has been kept up as he is now Prime Minister of United Kingdom, leading the Conservative Party since 2019.
The visible preliminary phases of his administration involved him serving as Foreign Secretary during the earlier stages of Theresa May’s premiership. Nonetheless, he knew he had to toe the official line of resignation for he faced a barrage of criticism for May’s approach to Brexit and the Chequers Agreement. However, the 2019 general elections had him sitting in victory when he triumphed in securing 43.6 per cent of the votes, whilst leading the Conservative Party.
Proceeding forward, perspectives on Johnson’s finesse in handling the Covid-19 crises vary drastically– Some see him playing the Russian roulette while the others are his greatest pillars of strength. However, it can no more be left unseen that Britain’s economy has, by leaps and bounds, dwindled most chronically in the past 41 years. Britain nearly dodged a bullet in the first quarter where it witnessed a 2 per cent shrink in the GDP on coronavirus, as per the ONS statistical analytics data.

Right when the recession hit the country poorly, Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer, exclaimed, “We are seeing one [a quarter of GDP’s downtick] here with only a few days of impact from the virus, so it is now … very likely that the UK economy will face a significant recession this year and we are in the middle of that as we speak.” It was as if his words manifested themselves aptly, as Britain faces a 20.4 per cent gross domestic product declined in the second quarter, corresponding to 59.8 per cent of a yearly rate.
Contemporarily, the inevitable need of the hour makes us go great guns with defining how Brexit party has affected the UK, during the newfangled situations. Reporters claim that just when Boris Johnson was busy painting the town red along with other Brexiters, the epidemic had come about. Rumours spread, stating that he totally let his hair down and turned a blind eye to the Covid-19 threats. Undeniably, the Post-Brexit Party had been a major reason for an expeditious inflation rate of the Covid-19 cases in the UK.
We all have been aware of the frenzied rush, which followed the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the initial stages. However, regardless of that, some experts allege that the Prime Minister did not seem to pay much heed to the matter and delay in imposing the obligatory restrictions around the country. As of the recent week, UK badges an unfortunate tag of recording the second-highest total of people tested positive for Covid, since the epidemic arrived – an estimate of 39,036 coronavirus cases.
Scrutinizing the growth of pandemic rate in Britain, we can clearly affirm that there were around 6.46 new COVID-19 infections for every 10,000 people per day, lately during the previous week. Indeed, coming to grips with a post-Brexit trade deal and Covid-19 lately, is a catch-22! Perhaps, we may witness the issue taking a great turn on the New Year’s Eve!
